A Distinction is an Energetic Declaration that if you have the Matrix to hold it, changes who you are and therefore gives you a new Possibility for Action. In the StartOver.xyz game, one Distinction equals one Matrix Point.

When you get a Distinction it lands in your Matrix and reorders your Energetic Body in such a way that you can experientially differentiate something which you could not differentiate before. Your experiential discernment is refined to a measurable degree (the measurement being the new Results you can create).

Each Distinction in your Energetic Body acts as a thread in a net.

Weaving in more Distinction threads allows you to catch more Consciousness.

The more Distinctions you weave into your Energetic Body the more Consciousness you can catch. Eventually, your Energetic Body is so thickly woven with Distinctions that it changes from a net into a sail, and your life starts to be blown by with whims of Consciousness itself.

Consciousness can be equated with light. When light is shone over a space, it radiates everywhere at all time. The same way, we suggest that consciousness is present at all times.

However, we can only see the light when it hits a solid physical object. For example, you might be reading these lines in a book, both your physical body and the book are hit by light. How can you tell? Because you see them. You cannot see the light between your body and the book, you can only assume it is there. Why can’t you see it? Because they are no object the light hits on. If you move your hand between your body and the book, the light will hit your hand and you will be able to see the light.

In the same way, we do not experience omnipresent consciousness at all times, we experience consciousness only when it hits a physical object. As for the light, consciousness is everywhere but there is no way to tell its presence in between objects.

When light strikes an object, the quality of the light that we see (for example, the color, transparency, shape, texture, brightness) is determined by the physical quality of the object that reflects the light.

Similarly, the quality of consciousness that we experience (for example, intelligence, attention span, flexibility, radiance, creativity, presence) is determined by the physical structure of the object reflecting consciousness. The more sophisticated and complex the structure, the more sophisticated and complex the consciousness that it manifests. The structure that catches consciousness is called Matrix.

Matrix is made out of distinctions. Therefore, the more distinctions you weave into your energetic body the more consciousness you can catch.

As you keep collecting distinctions, eventually your energetic body will be so thickly woven with them that your matrix changes from a net that catches consciousness into a sail. Raw consciousness can then blow in your sail, and your life starts to be carried by the whims of consciousness itself. When that starts happening, your life does not belong to you anymore, it belongs to raw consciousness.

It is possible that the gameworld that you are supposed to build does not belong to you, but to consciousness itself using you - and your hands and mouths - to manifest it in reality.

This applies both to space and gameworlds.
At the start of a space, as you set the context, you - as the spaceholder - might have the sensation that you are rowing alone a 2 tons sailboat. Setting context is the process of clarifying the distinctions that will be used in the space. It is crucial that it happens at the outset of a space. You could compare this process to weaving threads into a tighter and tighter net. Eventually, the energetic space can be so thickly woven with distinctions that it changes from a net into a sail. The space can from then on catch the whims (and winds) of consciousness itself. The space starts surfing the waves of life and evolution with little to no use of your own personal power as a spaceholder to make it move.
